Amanda Kenyon, Founder
When I quit a decade-long successful career in the corporate business world, I didn’t know which path I would take next, but I did know that it had to be something I cared about. Passionately. I mean, I don’t have a tattoo that says “With passion to live, for passion to die” for nothing. The stars aligned with my love for music when a singer-songwriter approached me to help her find and book gigs. As I began working with her and others on booking, I saw that there was much more I could bring to the table to help the growing musician. I saw a way that I could apply my business experience and education to support the very people whose music I loved. And so began Blue Crane Music.
Today, I combine my understanding of musician’s needs and the music industry with core, critical business skills that I honed while at some of the top companies in the country. I spent seven years working for one of Fortune magazine’s top 50 ranked companies, where I went through a rigorous leadership development program. Prior to that, I spent three years working for the second largest accounting firm in the world. I graduated from two degree programs, culminating with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I am thrilled to share my expertise with musicians who want to grow their career and I am thrilled to do this through a personalized approach.
Community and collaboration amongst musicians is something I hold dear. In addition to being a performing vocalist and mandolinist myself, I regularly volunteer in support of music events such as Connecticut Farm & Folk Festival, Green River Festival, and Middletown Music Festival. Any given week, you’re likely to find me at a variety of music events from local open mics, to major festivals, to a wide range of concerts from bluegrass to metal. I hope to meet each of you soon, whether it be out at a show or for a one-on-one consultation.
